　26歳のAmelia Tank（アメリア・タンク）。彼女は、イギリス系大手銀行でマネジャーを務める女性です。　

　20代前半で、マネジャーにまで登りつめた実力は称賛に値します。が、それ以上に驚くべきことは、仕事後の彼女のもう一つの顔にあります。それは…実は彼女は本格的なボディビルダーなのです。

「ビキニが似合う体を競う」、プロビキニ選手権というのをご存じでしょうか。

　アメリア・マイアミで開催されたプロ世界選手権で、その「ビキニ・トール」と「ミス・モデル」の部門で優勝。その数週間後には、ヨーロッパで開催された最大のビキニ・フィットネス・マッスルモデルの競技『ピュア・エリート』にて、「ビキニ・ベイブ・トール」部門を勝ち取りました。

　それによってヨーロッパではアメリアの知名度は一気に上昇。その美貌を武器に、イギリスのニュースメディア「Daily Mail」、「Metro」、「The Sun」などで取り上げられることになったのです。

　そんなアメリアですが、その大会での優勝に至るまでには、並大抵ではすまない努力を続けたそうです。「ボディビルにすべてを捧げるため、友人との食事会を断り、家族との時間さえも削った」と「Daily Mail」に語っています。彼女の食事の中心は鶏の胸肉、ステーキ、サツマイモ、玄米、果物、ナッツで構成していたそうです。

　何よりも辛かったのが、毎年恒例の家族と食事会とのこと。「目の前に出されるカレーやパンなどの大好物を、我慢せざるを得なかったことかな」と語っています。

　アメリアの次の目標は、2018年11月に開催される『ピュア・エリート』世界選手権にてブロデビューを果たすことだそうです。まだまだ、高みを目指す彼女から目が離せません！
